Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2025

Acceptance of Terms

By using InvoiceBump ("the Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of InvoiceBump constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

InvoiceBump is a free, AI-powered tool that generates professional invoice payment reminder emails based on details you provide. The generator is provided as a convenience tool to help freelancers and small businesses draft payment reminders. The Service does not send emails on your behalf, manage your invoices, or guarantee the collection of any payments.

Free Service — Provided As-Is

InvoiceBump is provided free of charge, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the emails generated. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical issues. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

No Guarantee of Payment Collection

The emails generated by InvoiceBump are starting-point drafts only. We make no representation or warranty that using any generated email will result in payment being made. The effectiveness of any payment reminder depends on many factors outside our control, including your client's circumstances, applicable laws, and how you customize and deliver the generated email.

Nothing in any generated email constitutes legal advice. If you are dealing with a significant unpaid invoice or considering legal action, you should consult a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction.

Your Responsibility for Email Content

You are solely responsible for the content of any emails you send using InvoiceBump as a starting point. Before sending any generated email, you should:

  • Review and verify that all invoice details are accurate.
  • Ensure the tone and content are appropriate for your specific situation and jurisdiction.
  • Confirm that the email complies with applicable laws, including any debt collection regulations in your country or state.
  • Take responsibility for any consequences arising from sending the email.

InvoiceBump is not liable for any legal, financial, or reputational consequences arising from emails you send using content generated by the Service.

Rate Limiting

To ensure fair access for all users, the free tier of InvoiceBump is limited to 5 email generations per IP address per hour. If you exceed this limit, you will be temporarily restricted from generating additional emails until the hour window resets.

Attempts to circumvent rate limiting through VPNs, proxies, or other means violate these Terms of Service and may result in permanent access restriction.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use InvoiceBump to:

  • Generate harassing, threatening, or abusive emails.
  • Collect payments for fraudulent, illegal, or non-existent invoices.
  • Circumvent rate limits or interfere with the Service's operation.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

Intellectual Property

The emails generated by InvoiceBump are yours to use freely. We claim no ownership over content produced by the generator based on your inputs. The InvoiceBump name, logo, and underlying software remain the intellectual property of InvoiceBump.

Phase 2 — Paid Features (Coming Soon)

InvoiceBump is currently free. We are developing premium features including automated invoice reminders, an invoice tracking dashboard, and integrations with tools like Stripe and QuickBooks. When these features launch, they will be offered under a separate paid plan. The core free generator will remain available.

Any paid features will be governed by additional terms presented at the time of subscription. Signing up for the waitlist does not constitute a purchase or commitment of any kind.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, InvoiceBump and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or damage to client relationships.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of InvoiceBump shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Since the Service is currently free, this limit is zero.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of InvoiceBump will be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible.
