Overview
InvoiceBump ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We built InvoiceBump to be as privacy-friendly as possible: we do not store your invoice details, we do not sell your data, and we do not require you to create an account to use the generator.
Information We Collect
IP Address (Rate Limiting)
When you use the invoice reminder generator, we temporarily process your IP address in memory to enforce our rate limit of 5 free generations per hour. This information is never written to disk, never associated with your identity, and is automatically discarded after one hour. We collect it solely to prevent abuse of the free service.
Waitlist Email Address
If you choose to join our waitlist for upcoming features, we collect your email address. This is entirely voluntary. We use this address only to notify you when new features launch and to send occasional product updates. We will never send unsolicited marketing emails, share your address with third parties, or sell it for any purpose. You can request removal from our waitlist at any time by emailing privacy@invoicebump.com.
Invoice Details You Enter
The invoice data you enter into the generator — including client names, invoice amounts, due dates, and any additional context — is transmitted to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your email, and then immediately discarded. We do not log, store, or retain this data in any database or file. Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy and API terms.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use InvoiceBump — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and which features are used most. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data and sets cookies in your browser. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not use analytics data to build individual user profiles or to target you with advertising. It is used solely to improve the product.
Third-Party Services
InvoiceBump uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Anthropic API— powers the AI email generation. Invoice details are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate your reminder email. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosts the InvoiceBump application. Standard web server logs (IP, user agent, request path) may be retained by Vercel for operational purposes per their policy.
- Google Analytics — provides anonymized usage analytics as described above.
Cookies
InvoiceBump itself does not set any first-party cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish sessions and measure engagement. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information and expire automatically.
Data Retention
We retain waitlist email addresses until you request removal. IP-based rate limit data is stored in memory only and expires automatically after one hour. We do not maintain any persistent database of user activity or invoice details.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. The only personal data we hold long-term is your email address if you joined the waitlist. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@invoicebump.com and we will respond promptly.
Children's Privacy
InvoiceBump is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of InvoiceBump after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
